“Spirituality and tradition in an anti-traditional world”
“Spiritualità e tradizione in un mondo antitradizionale”
Purpose: Proposing resolutions that will be handed at the United Nations Organisation, at the European Community and at the local Parliaments. These resolutions will be brought forward by 5 representatives and discussed in group during the 3 days of the Conference. The interaction with the audience will be of crucial importance.
Scopo: proporre risoluzioni da presentare all’ONU, alla comunità Europea e ai parlamenti locali. Queste risoluzioni verranno stese da cinque rappresentanti e discusse in gruppo durante i tre giorni di conferenza. L’interazione col pubblico sarà di cruciale importanza.
Practical methods:
- The congress will take place in English only. We apologise for this, but in Athens we have noticed that translations make the Congress too complicated. Of course this fact doesn’t imply disrespect for the cultures and their specific languages.
Il congresso avrà luogo solo in inglese. Ci scusiamo per questo, ma ad Atene abbiamo notato che le traduzioni rendono il congresso troppo complicato. Naturalmente questo non implica il non rispetto per le varie culture e i loro specifici linguaggi.
-Each speaker will be supported by means of a powerpoint presentation that projects the highlights of their speech. The proposed resolutions at the end of each speech will be projected as well. Each speaker brings a discussion text of about 30 minutes.
Ogni speaker sarà supportato da una presentazione di Powerpoint che proietti i concetti principali del loro discorso. Le risoluzioni proposte alla fine di oni discorso saranno ugualmente proiettate. Ogni discussione sarà di circa 30 minuti
-Between the speakers we offer folk music intermezzi and breaks à the breaks are very important to strengthen the contacts between the groups.
Tra uno speaker e l’altro ci saranno intermezzi musicali e pause. Le pause sono molto importanti per rafforzare i contatti tra i gruppi.

autobus per Tienen
at 18.00h we’re leaving for “de 3 tommen” (the 3 tumili) near Tienen. Sandwiches on the bus. On the (free) bus will be explained what the ritual will be about. A may-pole will be erected. Ritual folk-dances will be performed. The fire will be brought down from the 3 tumili (burial hills) and a ritual fire will be lit. Each delegation will have the possibility to perform a fire-ritual. Then a folk-group will perform the Flemish tradition of flag throwing and other folk-dances. At end, the fire will return ritually to the top of the tumili.
Alle 18 si parte per “I 3 tumuli” vicino a Tienen. Panini sull’autobus. Sull’autobus (gratis) sarà spiegato come sarà il rituale. Verrà eretto un palo di maggio, saranno fatte danze folk. Il fuoco sarà portato giù ai tre tumuli e sarà acceso un fuoco rituale. Ogni delegazione avrà la possibilità di fare il proprio rituale del fuoco, quindi un gruppo folk farà danze e il tradizionale lancio della bandiera. Alla fine, il fuoco tornerà ritualmente alla cima dei tumuli.

Sandwiches on the bus. In Bruges their will be a guided tour. We will afterwards visit the shooting guild where an explanation and presentation will be given on traditional shooting of the symbolic ‘King-bird’. Everyone gets a little spare time to do some shopping and to enjoy an evening meal.
Panini sull’autobus. A Bruges ci sarà una visita guidata, poi la visita alla “shooting guild” dove ci sarà spiegazione e presentazione del tradizionale tiro al simbolico “Uccello-re”. Ci sarà un po’ di tempo libero per lo shopping e la cena.
