In the last programme I asked myself: "What are we, Francesco and I, here for, speaking into those microphones about Witchcraft, Paganism and Magic, when only few people can understand what we're saying, while many others think that what we're saying is incomprehensible because they're doing nothing to change the point of view from which they face their life?"

The answer was: for controlled madness!

We introduce the controlled madness into the Crucible, even if it's actually a necessity. It dives into the crucible and merges with the other elements we put into the Crucible.

According to Castaneda, controlled madness is an instrument we use in everyday life to distract other Human Beings' attention.

According to Castaneda, controlled madness is the acting of life in everyday actions. Castaneda suggests to play many parts and many characters, instead of one only, both in disguises and attitudes.

Actually, playing a role or acting some physical defects, or the expression of concepts which don't belong to us, allow us to break the compactness of the Educational Conditioning. Let's remember Carneade who one day maintained the greatness of justice as objectivity, the next denigrated justice as expression of subjective interests (to tell the truth, Richelieu had the same attitude in face of the Pope, but his aims were different, he wanted to show the Pope how people could be teased: he's a christian!).

Especially the controlled madness allows reason to become quick in adapting itself, and to defend itself by shielding from the luminous body expression in everyday actions.

We want to remember that the luminous body's activity inside reason appears as madness, and the reason's activity, when it's bound to the imposed Educational Conditioning, is destructive madness towards the luminous body. When a Human Being walks along a path in the eternity, the luminous body's doing is the reason's doing-not, while the reason's doing is the luminous body's doing-not.

Reason practices the controlled madness with the exercise of the doing-not. The doing-not is an Apprentice Sorcerer's activity inside the Human Beings' Social System.

The controlled madness can be used to conceal the aim.

How does an Apprentice Sorcerer act? He acts oriented by his aim! What's the Apprentice Sorcerer's aim? Founding his becoming relating the objectivity in which he lives.

The practice of the controlled madness inside the Social System is done in order to make the attention of those who don't found their becoming divert, so that they can't damage the Apprentice Sorcerer's becoming or the becoming of the Social System in which he lives.

At the same time, the practice of the controlled madness allows reason to discipline itself in order to absorb and keep what it calls "Luminous body's acts of madness!"

Try to pretend to be lame for days or months and to interiorize this being lame, knowing that you can run with both your legs at every moment. Try to make others believe you're stupid when you're going to make a project. Acting not for acting, but a doing which involves all ourselves.

The practice of the controlled madness is used in the reason's world only with people who use the appearances, the acting, to involve other people in order to subjugate them.

Some recitations are dreadful.

Someone could ask: "How can I defend myself from people who make deception be their existence?"

The whole existence is founded on deception, illusion. Deception of sellers, deception of information, deception about the use of feelings. In our life we see the game of deception and we often undergo the pushes of individuals who make deception be their existence.

The deception isn't controlled madness. The deception takes possession of individuals who deceives in order to use them; controlled madness is used to construct the project relative to the single individual's aim.

How can we defend ourselves? We can defend ourselves if we care nothing about the deceiving operation, if we care nothing about people who practice controlled madness.

Never stop the attention on it!

The deception, whatever deception, has success only if it manages to catch people's attention and involve their feelings in the deceiving operation.

But we're mixing in our Crucible the suspension of the internal dialogue and the suspension of the judgement; we're sceptic towards every proposal.

If someone tells us lies, we believe him and we relate with him as his lies were truth. That person isn't included in our aim, so she's not able to involve our attention; no person is included in our aim, if we don't merge our Crucible with him/her. This means a person is included in our aim only if we have purposes, necessities and interests in common. But having purposes in common prevent every deceiving action!

When there are elements in common, a common aim takes shape.

Reason's controlled madness can't be used with people who has our same aims; people who has aims in common are one and as one they have the same aim and exert the same controlled madness, though with different techniques.

Stirring in our Crucible, we escape from deception because we are planning our existence by ourselves: so no deception can touch us, because we don't allow anybody to involve our attention.

These are the elements of controlled madness.

Every person, when she uses her own madness, must keep in mind that the necessity must show up by itself, when the aim is so strong that forces reason to become a protagonist in the world in which she lives and develops.

There are many things to be said about the controlled madness but discoveries are subjective and progressive!

Now, I can tell why Francesco and I are here though our reason says: "Who wants you to act like this? You lose money and time, you get tired and you're forced to renounce satisfactory engagements!". Are we stupid?

We must answer with a friend's words (every impassioned person is our friend!):

"This is not foulness, but you can't care about this. Is an intelligent thing that my body shivers with cold or that my chest is weighed down by gas? It's stupid, it would be better if things weren't so; but this is my nature: I shiver with cold, I get angry for infamies and, if I can't break the wall of my spiritual prison, I'll throw myself at it with my forehead; the wall won't reel for this, even if my forehead will break; however it will be of relief to me." I saw his indolent smile "Sure, Vladimir, it's natural, well said, you said right things, but believe me, it isn't worth having these feelings" "The problem is not if it's worth having these feelings, but is that you have them."

This is the point, according to reason, the luminous body's necessities are madness, but they exist, so reason has to learn accepting them and keeping them in the everyday life.

This is why we're doing what we're doing: we can't do without doing this! It's for the luminous body's exigencies which reason must keep. But reason learnt to suspend the internal dialogue, to suspend the judgement, to be sceptic and how to keep the attention related to senses. Reason learnt to construct through its aim.

This is reason's controlled madness related to the luminous body's becoming!

The next time we'll put into the Crucible the ability of listening to the world around us.
